Local flowers grown with integrity, styled with soul
Some of my most vivid and deeply treasured childhood memories are of my own mother picking and arranging flowers from our garden.
We weren’t gardeners and perhaps the forgotten Leucospermum patch hidden between the garage and the neighbour’s was as good as it got. But something came over her… and over me for seeing her so. Nothing else she ever did did as much to calm and center her as the archaic act of picking flowers and bringing them indoors.
I am testimony, too, to the power of flowers to heal and restore, to help still a restless mind and ultimately, to lose the big old self, however momentarily.
My husband and I grow 2 acres of shrubs, foliage, flowers and even vegetables on a little farm outside Blenheim on New Zealand’s South Island. The climate and landscape is a veritable paradise, and not in the “tropical” sense. We have real, even stark seasons, with all the perks (think peonies and lilacs) and none of the pains (snow, humidity, severe heat).
As farmer-florists we offer a wide range of floristry products and services, only we also grow the flowers that go into them. Here’s a list of how and where we might cross paths:
- Gift bouquets, delivered daily in season, in and around Blenheim
- Seasonal Flower Subscription (Coming soon!)
- Happenings
- Weddings
- Events
- Plants
Retail: find our flowers at New World supermarket in Blenheim and Moore Wilson in Wellington, in season.
